Laser tattoo removal requires multiple treatments over a period of time. Depending on several factors, the number of treatments to remove an unwanted tattoo can vary from 3 to 12 treatments or even more. Every tattoo is different. Factors that will affect the price for tattoo removal include: size, color, ink composition, ink depth and density, location, and skin type.

Lasers work by producing short pulses of intense light that pass harmlessly through the top layers of the skin to be selectively absorbed by the tattoo pigment. This laser energy causes the tattoo pigment to fragment into smaller particles that are then removed by the body’s immune system. Researchers have determined which wavelengths of light to use and how to deliver the laser’s output to best remove tattoo ink. If you’re wondering if the laser might also remove normal skin pigment, don’t worry. The laser selectively targets the pigment of the tattoo without damaging the surrounding skin.

HOW DOES LASER TATTOO REMOVAL WORK

Our tattoo removal procedure involves a series of treatments in which our lasers break the tattoo into small pieces allowing your body’s immune system to remove it naturally.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED

The quantity of laser tattoo removal treatments required varies by each person, but generally, at least 5 treatments are necessary at 10-week intervals for your body to break down and filter out the ink.

REMOVE UNWANTED INK FASTER THAN EVER BEFORE

Our lasers are the safest and most effective technology available to clear a variety of tattoo colors on all skin types in fewer treatments than any other technology. You will experience more comfortable treatments and faster results.

What can I expect after each treatment?

Tattoo ink colors will fade after each successive treatment, but it is not uncommon to see no visible change after the first treatment. In some cases, the tattoo may temporarily appear darker in color because the laser treats the deepest ink first. Fading occurs gradually. Each individual’s immune system filters the ink out at a different rate. When the treatments are completed the skin will look as if the tattoo had never been there. After laser tattoo removal treatment, care for the area like a cut or a blister until it has fully healed. Don’t go swimming and avoid the sun or tanning bed exposure. You may schedule your next treatment 8-10 weeks later.
